Hanging lantern consisting of a bell-shaped brass oil reservoir with small screw-on lid that holds wick, all set onto round base with openwork sides; Openwork collar screws onto rim of base and completely encloses reservoir; Inverted conical glass chimney fits over wick holder and rests on narrow collar around inside of openwork collar; Cylindrical openwork cover with 4 cutout windows fits over glass chimney and screws onto rim of openwork collar; Smaller cover of similar shape and surmounted by fluted roof screws onto top of larger cover; Short chain with hook for hanging lantern is attached to top of second cover. |
