Description Deep round basket with flat base and flaring sides, woven in coiling technique over 3-rod foundation; Warp material is whole willow shoots and primary weft material is peeled and split willow shoots; Designs are woven primarily of black devil's claw with lesser amounts of brown yucca root and consist of black circular area in center, from which radiate 5 columns of diagonally stacked rectangles (2 of the columns further subdivide; Designs on side of basket include 2 closely spaced parallel terraced zigzag lines around lower side and band of V-shaped motifs (each composed of 2 closely spaced terraced V's) pendant from rim; Two small terraced triangles that are half black and half brown are located seemingly randomly between zigzag band and band of V's; Final rim coil alternates stitches of black devil's claw and natural colored willow.
