Description | Deep round jar with flat base, rounded sides, and wide mouth with inward curving rim; Interior and exterior are scraped smooth; Interior of rim and entire exterior are covered with reddish slip and are highly burnished, except for base; Decorative band around upper half of bowl on exterior is divided into 4 panels; 2 different motifs are each repeated twice, including stylized feather and kiva step patterns in gray, tan, and pale pink colors on reddish brown background; "Katherine Vigil, Tesuque Pueblo" and the number "52" are handwritten in pencil on base. | |
