Description | Round stoneware, wheel-thrown jar with flat base and vertical sides that rise to a well-defined, rounded shoulder with an inverted rim and wide mouth; Round saucer-shaped lid with lip that fits inside mouth of jar is surmounted by deep, round bowl with flaring sides; Interior of jar and underside (lip only) of lid are glazed dark brown; Exterior of both jar and lid are unglazed and unslipped and decorated with all-over incised lines, producing geometric pattern of ridges; Signature "Charles Loloma 53" is incised on base of jar. | |
