Description | Round bowl with flat base, rounded sides, slightly above midlevel shoulder, and inward-curving rim; Interior and exterior are scraped smooth and exterior sides are highly burnished; Design band around upper sides on exterior is painted in matte gray and brick red and consists of terraced unit and pair of feather-like units; Entire motif is repeated 4 times between upper and lower gray framing lines; "Catherine" and original purchase price of $5.00 are written in pencil on base. | |
