Description | Large olla or water jar with concave base, flaring sides that curve upward to high shoulder, short inward sloping neck, and wide mouth; Interior and exterior are scraped smooth and slipped deep red on underbody and rim interior, and white on remaining exterior; Wide band around neck is filled with red and black geometric designs; Pair of wide parallel black lines encircles shoulder; Area below shoulder is divided into 3 horizontal bands, containing row of male deer with heart lines in the upper and lower bands (deer in upper band are also enclosed in houses), and row of female deer in middle band; Jar is unsigned. | |
