Description |
Cylindrical, double-headed drum constructed from hollowed length of cottonwood log with piece of rawhide stretched over each end and laced together by means of rawhide laces that crisscross back and forth between the two skin coverings; Pair of small holes are drilled or cut into sides of drum to improve the resonance; Short handles of twisted rawhide laces are attached at both the upper and lower ends of drum, forming two separate handles. |
