Description | Large round olla or water jar with concave base, rounded sides, high shoulder, short inward-sloping neck, and wide mouth; Lower body has slight bulge marking height of puki used in construction; Interior and exterior are scraped smooth; underbody and band around interior rim are slipped dark brown; Remaining exterior is slipped white; Band encircling neck of jar is divided into 2 panels, each containing 3 geometric elements in black and red; Pair of wide parallel brown lines frames lower edge of shoulder; Field below shoulder contains 2 large rosettes with red and brown geometric designs; Space between rosettes is divided into upper band of deer with heart lines and lower band of geometric designs; Jar is unsigned. | |
