Description Small round plate with rounded base and flaring sides; Interior and exterior are scraped smooth and covered with white slip; Interior is divided into all-over series of small outlined squares, each containing either a pair of small black triangles or 2 pairs of stacked black triangles and pair of narrow parallel lines (the two motifs are arranged in checkerboard pattern); Band of crescent shapes is impressed along interior rim; “Acoma, N. M.” is printed in black lettering on base, but otherwise, plate is unsigned.
