Description | Large round jar with flat base, flaring sides; High wide shoulder, and short neck; Interior and exterior are scraped smooth and exterior is burnished; Wide design band extends from base of neck to well below shoulder and is divided into 2 panels, each including large feather motif and other geometric units (triangles, rectangles, spirals) painted red and black in several techniques (stippling, fine-line hachures, outlining, solid colors); Very wide black framing lines mark upper and lower limits of band; Jar is unsigned. | |
