Description | Effigy bowl in form of a bird; Base is flat and sides flare out to rim; Rim is extended and contoured to represent spread wings and rounded tail of bird; Modeled head of bird extends above rim; Interior and exterior surfaces are scraped smooth and burnished; Eyes are incised on bird's head; Pair of deeply incised lines on each wing and 3 deeply incised lines on tail represent feathers; Bowl is reduction fired to black color; Bowl is unsigned (same maker as CAS 0370-0211). | |
