Description | Miniature pitcher with flat base, cylindrical body with expanded mid-section, short flaring spout, and single loop handle that is attached at rim and at midlevel height on side; Interior and exterior are scraped smooth and coated with a slip; Exterior sides, rim and interior of spout are highly burnished; Design band around upper sides on exterior is painted in matte black slip and consists of 2 pairs of elongated triangles and 2 terraced triangles (kiva steps design), all bordered by a single lower framing line; Pitcher is reduction fired to black-on-black color and is unsigned. | |
