Description | Effigy candleholder in the form of a bear (?) with short stubby tail shown sitting upright on its haunches; Figurine supports cylindrical vessel on its outstretched hind legs and uses its outstretched front legs to hold the vessel; All surfaces are scraped smooth and highly burnished, except the base, figurine's chest area, and interior of vessel; Punctate holes represent the figurine's eyes; Figurine is reduction fired to glossy black color and is otherwise undecorated and unsigned. | |
