Description | Round bowl with flat base and flaring sides; Interior and exterior are scraped smooth, coated with a slip, and highly burnished, except for exterior base; Design band around interior rim is painted in matte black slip and consists of 4 groups of 3 contiguous elongated vertical triangles alternating with 4 pairs of elongated triangles laid on their sides; Bowl is reduction fired to black-on-black color; Signature "Marie" is incised in script on base. | |
