| Description | Round jar with flat base, flaring lower sides, midlevel shoulder, and inward sloping neck; Interior and exterior are scraped very smooth and coated with a slip; Exterior and rim are highly burnished; Design band encircles sides above shoulder and is painted in matte black slip; Design consists of 4 negative umbrella-shaped units; Jar is reduction fired to black-on-black color; Signature "Marie" is incised in script on base. | |
