Description |
Cylindrical jar with flat base, rounded lower body and constricted neck with everted, scalloped rim; Interior and exterior are scraped smooth; Exterior and interior of rim are covered with red slip and burnished; Black painted designs on exterior consist of two bands of solid triangles pendant from encircling lines, one around neck and one at midlevel height; Triangles on lower band have open circles at their apexes and those in upper band have U-shaped hooks; Solid black line outlines jar's lip; Jar is unsigned. |
