Description |
Round salad or bread and butter sized plate with flat base and very low, flaring sides; Interior and exterior are scraped very smooth, coated with a slip and highly burnished; Design band around interior rim is painted in black matte slip and consists of pair of parallel lines that encircle rim and series of short but heavy dashes that are pendant from innermost line; Plate is reduction fired to black-on-black color; Signature "Marie & Julian" is incised in script on base. |
