Description | Kayenta black-on-white small, round jar with rounded base, spherical body, very short neck, and single strap handle attached to rim and shoulder; Interior and exterior are scraped smooth; Exterior is coated with white slip and painted with two encircling bands; Upper band around shoulder contains 4 connected negative spiral motifs; Lower band just below midsection displays row of contiguous cross-hatched diamonds, flanked above and below by row of contiguous black triangles; Series of 3 parallel vertical lines decorates the handle. | |
