Round plate with flat base and low, flaring sides; Interior and exterior are scraped very smooth and highly burnished; Designs on interior are painted in matte black slip and consist of large outlined triangle in center with large stylized parrot perched on each side of the triangle, each with geometric designs on their feathers; Series of 4 parallel framing lines encircle interior rim; Signature "Marie & Julian" is incised in printed letters on base. |
