Description | Round jar with flat base, flaring lower sides, midlevel shoulder, and wide constricted neck with wide mouth and scalloped rim; 2 vertical loop handles are attached on opposite sides of shoulder; Interior and exterior surfaces are scraped smooth; Interior of rim and entire exterior are covered with thin coating of sheep's fat or varnish, probably to increase the surface sheen; Jar is unsigned. | |
