Description | Round jar with flat base, rounded sides, and inward curving rim; Interior and exterior are scraped smooth and covered with red slip; Wide band around upper half of exterior is painted white and decorated with two red and black bird motifs with outstretched wings and two motifs of diagonally stacked, paired triangles that are red with black outlines; Overall band is framed below by two narrow black framing lines and above by one narrow and one wide black framing lines; Lower half of exterior and red portions of painted designs are lightly burnished; Jar is unsigned. | |
