Description | Miniature pitcher with flat base and cylindrical body; Edge of rim flares out on one side to form spout; Wide flattened handle rises above rim and is attached opposite spout and on lower side of the pitcher; Interior and exterior are scraped smooth and coated with red slip; Interior of rim and entire exterior are burnished; Black painted designs on exterior consist of narrow encircling line just below rim and parallel squiggly line just below it, followed by band of contiguous triangles with curved hook at the base of each one; Solid black line outlining rim continues down along outer edges of handle; Rectilinear zigzag extends down length of handle; Signature "Mary Juan" is written in script on base. | |
