Description | Cast and die-stamped medallion whose front face shows low relief figure of Apache hunter mounted on horse and aiming arrow while in pursuit of buffalo herd; "APACHE BUFFALO HUNTER" is printed in embossed lettering at top; Reverse of medal shows low relief figure of Apache "Gans" or Crown Dancer, wearing leather dance kilt and elaborate headdress and carrying wooden sword in each hand; "APACHE FIRE DANCER" appears in embossed lettering at top and "HOUSER" is imprinted to right of dancer's feet; "The Society of Medalists 59th issue - May 1959 Allan Houser SC." and "Medallic Art Co.
