| Description | Man's shirt with front and back woven in one piece (open sides are connected with short strips of black elastic) and the separate sleeves attached at shoulder; Shirt is primarily of hand woven cotton cloth woven in plain weft-faced tapestry technique; Sleeves are constructed from flat panels that are folded in half and expanded with inset of commercial white fabric; Front, back, and sleeves are decorated with embroidered terraced triangles and rectangular blocks in black, red, and green, all of which incorporate negative designs of small triangles and zigzags; Single multi-colored yarn pompom is attached to cuff of each sleeve and pair of pompoms is attached on each side of waist. | |
