Materials Cotton warp and weft; Plied aniline dyed wool embroidery yarn
Description Man's shirt with front and back woven in one piece (open sides are connected with short strips of black elastic) and the separate sleeves attached at shoulder; Shirt is primarily of hand woven cotton cloth woven in plain weft-faced tapestry technique; Sleeves are constructed from flat panels that are folded in half and expanded with inset of commercial white fabric; Front, back, and sleeves are decorated with embroidered terraced triangles and rectangular blocks in black, red, and green, all of which incorporate negative designs of small triangles and zigzags; Single multi-colored yarn pompom is attached to cuff of each sleeve and pair of pompoms is attached on each side of waist.
