Description Transitional rug woven entirely in plain tapestry technique; Borderless design is that of an earlier wearing blanket and consists of central band of serrated diamonds in red, white, and black, flanked on either end by several serrated zigzag bands in black and white or purple and white, all on red background; Spaces between adjacent zigzag bands are filled with various small motifs, including hourglass shapes, stacked triangles, stacked parallelograms, and "H" motifs; Narrow purple band is woven along one end; Design layout is asymmetrical.
