Description |
Fragment of blanket woven entirely in plain tapestry weave; Double warp running down center of fragment indicates it was originally woven wider than width of loom; Borderless design consists of plain horizontal bands, alternating in colors of coral/red and white/yellow (edged in light blue and possibly pale green) and two wider bands of white bordered in light blue and dark brown; Cut warp ends are knotted at both ends to form fringe. |
