Description | Soft (diyugi) wearing blanket with alternating red and white banded pattern, woven in variety of materials typical of 1870s and early 1880s; Red end band shows terraced zigzag line in olive green and lavender, bordered on outside by pair of lines in lavender and yellow and on inside by pair of lines in yellow and dark blue; Next red panel is similar but has only single border lines in white and dark blue; Central red panel is wider than others and shows row of lavender crosses with olive green tips, flanked by terraced zigzag line in lavender and olive green with paired borders along the overall band in yellow and dark blue; Adjacent warps are tied off and plied to form short fringe at one end. | |
