Description 3-dimensional carved figurine in standing position, representing Chusona, a snake dancer (not a katsina), shown holding rattlesnake in outstretched hands and in mouth; Figure's body is painted predominantly black and he wears crown of brown feathers and fan of carved eagle (?) feathers on back of his head; He also wears carved and painted snake dance kilt with carved fox tail skin at back, commercially tanned leather belt and sash, and carved and painted moccasins with commercially tanned leather fringe, painted necklace, painted bow guard on left wrist, and blue wool yarn on right wrist; Figure is mounted on cross-sectional cottonwood disc; Image of yucca plant and rattlesnake are painted on underside of base, along with signature "Made by Willard S. Sakietewa (sic), Sr."
