Description Miniature model of a baby carrier containing cloth doll; Basketry carrier comprises a flat oval back panel woven in spaced coiled technique over a bundle foundation; Mounted to the front face of the panel are the sides of an oval basket (the panel forms the underlying base) which slopes inward as it rises to the rim; Lower half of basket's mouth is woven in a random sewing technique to form a partial protective covering for the baby; Warp material is pine needles and primary weft material is undyed raffia grass leaves; Designs are woven of dyed raffia grass leaves and consist of running stitch of blue raffia along outer edge of backboard and along lower edges of protective covering over the baby, and series of pink "X" motifs around edges of backboard and random sewing stitches on basket's protective covering; Miniature doll with brown cloth face with black wool facial features and hair and whose body is wrapped in red cloth is lying with the baby carrier.
