Description Round basket with flat base, vertical sides, and recessed rim, along with corresponding round flat-topped lid with low sides that fit over the basket's rim; Warp material is cedar bark; Base of basket is woven in plain twining technique, using cedar bark as the weft; Sides of basket and entire lid are woven in wrapped twining technique, using bear grass leaves as the weft; Single cedar bark slat encircles top of basket and forms a recessed rim, over which the warp fibers are bent and bound into the final rows of twining; Designs are woven of dyed bear grass leaves and include composite band in dark green, yellow, and dark blue around lower sides, a negative straw-colored dashed line on blue background around mid-section of basket, round green area in center of lid encircled by composite bands in green, yellow and dark blue or yellow and dark blue on top of lid, and composite band in green, yellow, and blue on sides of lid.
