Description | Small round plate with flat base and very shallow vertical sides, woven in coiled technique over bundle foundation; Warp material is bear grass stems and primary weft material is sun bleached yucca leaves; Design is woven of black devil's claw pods and consists of single owl motif with outstretched wings on the basket's base; Owl's eyes are woven of yucca leaves in an overstitch technique; Rim is completed in with pattern of contiguous "X's" woven of black devil's claw pods in an overstitch technique. | |
