Description | Round basket with flat base and rounded sides that taper in at rim; Coiled on 3-rod foundation; Designs in dyed bulrush include 3 checker-outlined triangles on base and 3 bands of positive and negative triangles around sides; Negative triangles on sides are decorated with even spaced multi-colored seed beads; Center band of negative triangles is decorated with quail top knot feathers. [In 1977 Pomo basketweaver Mable McKay, attributed this basket to the Lake County area.] | |
