Description |
Shallow round tray with small diameter, flat base and widely flaring sides, woven in coiled technique over bundle foundation; Warp material is split cattail stems and primary weft material is peeled and slit willow shoots; Designs are woven of black devil's claw pods and includes a solid black base with 5 rectangular spokes radiating outward in a whirling pattern; Entire central motif is outlined in black, forming a second and larger whirling motif; 5 additional black rectangles extend downward diagonally from rim; Final rim coil is decorated with diagonal overstitch done in black devil's claw. |
