Description | Oval bowl-shaped basket with flat base and low, vertical sides woven entirely in wicker technique over multiple warps; At the rim, one warp stem from each group of warps is bent over and incorporated into a rim bundle that is coil-wrapped with black dyed yucca leaves; Warp material is probably sumac and weft material is natural and vegetal dyed Geometric design consists of yellow rectangular area in center of basket, encircled by multiple concentric bands in colors of green, orange, and blue-gray, blue-green, and natural undyed color, each one bordered in black. | |
