Description Painting on heavy white paper entitled "Matachines Dance", depicting two Matachine society male dancers, each wearing elaborate and colorful dance regalia of long beaded leggings, black kilts, pueblo sash belts, vests, and headdresses that include black face covering and blue hat with eagle plumes at sides and ribbon streamers trailing down their backs; Each dancer carries wooden 3-pronged sword in left hand and cloth pouch in right hand; Signature Ma-pe-wi 1937" is printed in orange paint in lower right corner.
