Description Painting on white poster board entitled "Apache Dancer" depicting single crown dancer, shown in left profile in animated dance pose standing on left leg and with left arm raised overhead; Dancer is dressed in moccasins, fringed buckskin kilt, and black cloth head and face mask with crown of wooden slats painted with snake motif; Long red streamers trail from dancer's upper arms and he carries wooden sword in each hand; Signature "Wilson Dewey" is printed in gray paint near lower right corner; "Apache Dancer, Price -- $15.00, Apache Artist Wilson Dewey" is handwritten in pencil on reverse. This painting was selected by Ruth and Charles deYoung Elkus in 1949 as their annual holiday card in 1949, printed by the Grabhorn Press in San Francisco.
