Description | Serigraph on white paper entitled "Corn Dance, Santo Domingo" depicting large group of pueblo men and women in ceremonial dress (women in black woven dresses and head tabletas) dancing in plaza while two Koshares (clowns) in foreground mimicking the dancers; Kiva structure is in background; Painting is done in realistic, European style; Title and signature "Anna Barry" are handwritten in pencil in lower left and lower right borders, respectively; Some of Barry serigraphs were apparently copied from her husband’s drawings and paintings; "Corn Dance, Santo Domingo" was copied from a similar work by Moskowitz entitled "The Corn Dance" and published in 1949 (republished 1993). | |
