Description Painting entitled "Deer Dance" showing 2 deer katsina (Sowi-ing) impersonators, each wearing a white case mask with red circles on cheeks, elongated snout, turquoise "flowers" in place of ears, and 2 horns extending from top; Male figure on left is shown in full frontal view and is dressed in woven kilt and white shirt with turquoise colored arm bands and leaning on 2 canes; Female figure on right is shown in left facing profile and is dressed in black pueblo-style dress and woven white manta and also leaning on 2 canes; Original signature "By Michael Kabotie" printed in blue paint in lower right corner is partially cut off; Second signature "Michael Kabotie" is printed in black ink above first signature.
