Description | Untitled painting on white paper depicting flat hillside bisected by an arroyo; On left side of hill are 3 small flowering plants with red, blue, and yellow flowers, a wide-leafed yucca, and a squirrel sitting beneath a small but bushy tree; On right side is a pronghorn antelope, a stylized plant, and a juniper tree in background; Ground surface is painted purple on right side of hill; Brown sides of hill are steeply eroded and very stylized plants grow at base of right side while 3 large blue rocks (?) form base of left side; Blue bird and butterfly fly overhead; All figures are outlined in yellow; Signature "Beatien Yazz" is printed in black paint in lower right corner; Date of painting is handwritten in pencil on reverse. | |
