Description | Luggage tag made from flat rectangular silver sheet; Single hole is cut near one short end to attach tag to suitcase; Pair of parallel lines is stamped along each long edge on one face of tag; "Mrs. Charles DeY Elkus Sr. 1010 Francisco St. San Francisco California 94109" is stamped on face of tag; Tag is unsigned by artist but is stamped on reverse with hallmark of Navajo hogan (White Hogan Shop, Scottsdale, AZ) and the words "Hand Made Sterling." Attributed in November 1978 by Eleanor Begay (Kenneth Begay’s wife) as “probably her husband’s work.†| |
