Description | Postage stamp dispenser in the form of a Navajo hogan, made from hammered sheet silver; Domed lid has hole cut in center, reminiscent of smoke hole in hogan; Lid is removable to allow for placement of roll of postage stamps inside, which are then dispensed through hogan's partially opened door; Exterior sides of hogan and door are stamped with geometric patterns suggesting log pattern of actual hogan; Hallmarks "KB" (Kenneth Begay) and hogan (White Hogan Shop, Scottsdale, AZ) and words, "Sterling Hand Made" are stamped on base. | |
