Description | Wrist guard comprising silver plate that has been sand cast in 3 sections, two of which are paired and closely coiled spirals, and the third is a linear bar soldered between the spirals; Spiral elements are stamped with rope-like motif along high edges; Oval turquoise stone in plain bezel is set in center; 4 copper fastening loops are soldered on reverse face of silver plate, by which plate is mounted onto black leather strap and secured with small leather pegs through the loops; Leather strap has extension tabs on both ends and is secured to wearer's wrist with short leather lacing; Leather strap is probably of more recent vintage that silver plate. | |
