Description | Round pin done in appliqué technique, showing crescent moon along left edge enclosing an image of a woman who was pulled up to the moon after she insulted it; She is shown holding a pail of water and salal bushes; Both moon and woman are mounted on oxidized background; Steel pin, clasp and pair of small loops are soldered onto reverse; "Haida Art" and signature "Reid" are stamped on reverse; Image is copied from drawing done by John Wi'ha for anthropologist, Franz Boas, and published in 1909 by John R.
