Description Pair of round, dome-shaped silver buttons with scalloped edges, each made from a coin of that has been hammered to shape in a mold; Cold chisel straight lines radiate out from center of each button, forming series of ridges on surface; Center of each button is marked with small round depression; Copper fastening loop is soldered to back of each button; Buttons are unsigned; Button A is made from a coin of indeterminate origin, probably Mexican, with several letters or numbers from original coin faintly visible along inside edge of button; Button B is made from a Mexican coin with the original legend "25 centavos" partially legible along exterior edge of button and original date of 1884 legible along interior edge of button.
