Description Small round bowl or cup on flat-bottomed pedestal base; Rounded sides of bowl taper inward toward wide mouth, then turn up vertically at rim; Pair of small knob handles are positioned opposite each other on upper sides of bowl; Interior and exterior are scraped smooth and coated with a buff-colored slip; Designs on exterior are painted in black or very dark brown and consists of a wide band that encircles the upper sides of the bowl; Band is divided into two panels on either side of the handles, with each panel containing a fishnet pattern of negative diamonds with a dot inside each diamond; Wide framing line parallels panels along bottom and narrower framing line along top is further decorated with tick marks extending up to the rim; Several small pebbles appear to have been placed inside hollow pedestal base to produce rattling noise.
