Description Copper tin with tin-plated interior; Overall shape is ovoid (truncated at one end) with fluted ridges on surface to give appearance of seashell; Used for baking small French cake known as a Madeleine and thought to be named after Madeleine Paulmier, a 19th century French pastry chef.
