Description Round cast iron pot used to heat and serve sake (Japanese rice wine); Pot sits on three small conical feet, its exterior surface is decorated with multiple small protuberances; Sides of pot are vertical to the shoulder then curve inwards to a flat top with recessed rim for lid; Bale handle attaches in two places along shoulder above spout and in one place on on opposite shoulder, with the actual handle arched across the mouth; Straight, trough-like spout with open top extends out from shoulder; Lid is round with small central knob handle.
