Description Medicine grinder consisting of of deep, elongated, trough-like bowl with with a keeled base and wide lip around rim terminating in short funnel-like projection at one end; Round cutting blade is bifacially beveled along edges and was originally hafted to short wooden handle and rolled by hand inside bowl for grinding of Chinese-type medicines into powder form.
