Description Long cylindrical club-like implement whose distal end tapers abruptly and is rounded; Proximal end tapers gradually, culminating in a small knob for attaching to fishing line; Below point where shaft tapers, surface is actually four-sided, with each face carved with a series of shallow and closely spaced longitudinal grooves; For use, bait stick was rubbed with blood and then suspended in water to attract fish.
