Cleve 1878 (ref. 000221) refers to Alloeoneis Schumann 1867 (with a new spelling Alloioneis), repeats word for word the Latin description published in Schumann, explicitly includes A.(?) grundleri Cl. & Gr. and A. (Navicula ?) antillarum Cl. & Gr., and implicitly includes Navicula alternans by giving a reference to Schumann 1867. Navicula alternans is the holotype since A. grundleri and A. antillarum are questionably included in the genus by Cleve. |
